The Total Health through Nutrition Program is for the person who knows they can be healthy and vital through better nutrition but is confused by all the hype and contradictions in the media.  This program equips you with the tools that are necessary to achieve the health and body you’ve always wanted.  This is not a “cookie cutter” program.  We look at every person as a unique individual and guide them through a nutrition program to address their own biochemical needs.  Your health and vitality begins in 3 steps.  
       
STEP 1. 
Complete the Health History Form
Why do we want to know so much about you?  It’s not to be nosy but we want to look at every aspect of your life that may impact your health.  Rather than the usual band aid approach we believe in finding the root cause of your problem.  So it is crucial that you are as honest as possible and detailed with your medication, lifestyle and exercise history. 

STEP 2. 
Take the online Metabolic Typing Test
Have you ever gone on a diet with a friend or spouse with drastically different results?  The other person loses fifteen pounds and you don’t lose any weight or worse yet, you gained a few pounds! You also notice the other dieter has an abundance of energy while you feel tired and sluggish.  This is a common scenario that we have faced with many clients.  The different responses to diets can be explained by one quote by the famous philosopher Lucretius.  He stated:

“One man’s food is another man’s poison.”

That is because there is no “one size fits all” nutrition plan. The Metabolic Typing Test allows us to customize your nutrition plan according to your own biochemical makeup.   This take the guess work out of what you should be eating.  It gives us a great starting point to design a nutrition plan that is tailored to your body.  Since this is a personalized nutrition plan, you will no longer be on a diet but have a life long nutrition plan that is correct for your body.

STEP 3. 
Complete the Seven Day Food, Sleep, and Activity Journal
The seven day food, sleep and activity journal is a critical part of your paperwork.  It allows us to make a comprehensive assessment of your current nutritional status, sleep habits and activity level by looking at:

  • Hydration levels
  • The quality and quantity of foods
  • Timing of meals
  • Frequency of meals
  • Food irritants you may be eating
  • Sugar intake
  • Sleep hygiene
  • Appropriate daily exercise
  • Appropriate stress reduction

Your food, sleep, and activity habits have a significant impact on hormones, weight gain, and energy levels.  Being detailed and specific in your journal enables us to be very precise in our recommendations to achieve your goals. 

Once we receive your health history forms, Metabolic Typing Test, and seven day food and sleep journal, we will set up a one hour consultation.   We will personally spend an hour with you to gently help you understand your personal nutrition plan and how you can change your life by understanding how the right foods work in your body.  Also included in your TOTAL HEALTH THROUGH NUTRITION PROGRAM:

  • Two coaching appointments (30 minute sessions in the 2nd and 4th week) to monitor progress, fine tuning your nutrition plan, and answer
    any questions.
  • The simple formula for hydration that will optimize your health.
  • The results of your Metabolic Typing Test and the importance of your personalized nutrition plan that is uniquely designed for your body.
  • The importance of the quality of food you eat and how it impacts your health.
  • Exercise recommendations for your goals.
  • Stress management techniques.
