You may be saying to yourself “I am not an athlete, why am I reading about a sports performance solution”. If you run once or twice a week, play golf on the weekend, or play recreational sports, then you are AN ATHLETE!! At any given time athletes deal with injuries or pain that may take time away from their sport. The longer you play a sport, the chances of injury increase. A common scenario is a golfer who has an aching low back. He goes to the golf course and pops two or three ibuprofen before the round then pops another two or three during the round. Some of you may consider this to be normal but this should not be the norm. It is a very common occurrence in sports but it should not be the norm. Taking ibuprofen and other over the counter anti-inflammatory drugs have many side effects to your digestive system and connective tissue. Many athletes are NOT enjoying their sport or workouts because they are failing to make progress and are dealing with constant nagging injuries. We find that recovery is the limiting factor for most athletes whether it is decreasing their 10K time or failing to recover from injuries. Failing to recover from sports or exercise may manifest into any of these symptoms:You finish a workout but find yourself being crippled with soreness that lasts for days on end that affect your ability to play your sport or get back to the gym.

  • You finish a workout but find yourself being crippled with soreness that lasts for days on end that affect your ability to play your sport or get back to the gym.
  • You’ve seen the physical therapist, chiropractor, acupuncturist, and massage therapist for your injury or pain but it never seems to go away. These chronic nagging injuries continue to persist on and off the field.
  • You’re losing motivation to train for your sport or get to the gym. During games your mind tends to wonder and you lose focus and concentration.
  • You begin your workout with great energy but find yourself hitting the “wall” towards the middle or end of your workout.
  • A weak immune system that manifests into chronic colds or worse yet, a respiratory tract infection. Endurance athletes are known for high volumes of training that may lead to overtraining which compromises the immune system.
  • Lack of progress in workouts. Whether you goal is strength, power, speed, or endurance, many athletes haven’t made progress in years and continue to grind away, hoping to make improvements.
