Are you tired, worn out, overweight, and exhausted? More than ever, our society boasts a high stress lifestyle that is taking a toll on an individual’s health. Stress can range from physical, chemical, electromagnetic, nutritional, and mental-emotional stress. The body regulates this stress through small glands called the adrenal glands. They are referred to as the “stress glands”. The adrenal glands can affect many physiological functions in the body such as blood sugar regulation, hormone production, tissue repair, inflammation, and immune regulation. Many of these physiological functions can become affected when the adrenals become fatigued. According to James Wilson, N.D, D.C, PhD, author of Adrenal Fatigue, the 21st Century Stress Syndrome, 80% of adult Americans suffer some level of adrenal fatigue. Adrenal fatigue can manifest with any of the following symptoms:

  • Having a difficult time getting up in the morning and needing five alarm clocks to drag yourself out of bed!
  • The reliance on coffee, tea, soda, and/or energy drinks to get through the day.
  • A “Wired but Tired” feeling that does not get better with increased sleep.
  • Anxious thoughts for no reason. Things that normally wouldn’t bother you make you feel anxious.
  • Lack of sex drive. This is not just a female issue. Males with adrenal fatigue may have a lack of sex drive.
  • Seem to get sick all the time and taking weeks to recover from a cold versus a few days.
  • Worsening PMS symptoms. The bloating, cramping, irritability, and cravings for sweets seem to be magnified.
  • Inability to focus and concentrate at school or work.

How does a consultation work?
We work with clients in Encinitas, California or via phone as well as Skype.

During your initial phone consultation we will review your Health History Forms and Seven Day Food and Sleep Journal and make recommendations for lab tests that are appropriate for your specific health issues.

A lab test allows us to determine the root cause of your problem. It may require a collection of stool, urine, saliva, or blood. All lab collections are done in the privacy of your own home. Once the specimens are collected, they are sent to the lab. Once the lab receives the specimen, the turnaround time is approximately seven to ten working days. Interpretation of the results will be discussed in a follow up appointment. We will fine tune nutrition, implement a Therapeutic Support Plan with supplements, and discuss lifestyle recommendations. Subsequent consultations are scheduled to monitor your progress and to modify your program.

What is the fee for a consultation?
